How the New Apple Watch will Impact Marketing
Years ago, cell phones were simply used to call and text people. Nowadays, cell phones are basically a handheld computer that is always on the go with you. Cell phones are commonly referred to as smart phones and are used on a daily basis for hundreds of different reasons. Following right behind the cell phone is the watch, which up until this point has been simply used to tell the time.
Now, Apple has released their brand new, innovative Apple Watch which will come out in 2015. The watch contains many applications that will help marketers engage with their customers on an every day basis. The watch is able to show social media updates, run applications and access Siri.
With the Apple Watch, for example, athletic companies such as FitBit or Nike’s Fuelband will be able to monitor heart rates and fitness activities. It will now be even easier to share all of this health information with a larger demographic. This will make it easier to create nutrition ads, gym deals and other special offers.
The Apple Watch is also able to act as a “Google Wallet”, making it even easier for people to make purchases in stores as well as online. This will allow for marketers to be able to actually track the amount of payments that are made and see how the majority of the people conduct their every day transactions.
Marketers will be able to get a lot more information about their customers through this watch and will be able to better engage in their customers’ lives.
